status and the licence for hosting FreePBX in the UK
London, 27 April 2026. FreePBX UK, a trading name of 20 Telecom Ltd, today launches as Official FreePBX® Partner for the UK, with Sangoma Technologies awarding the licence for hosting FreePBX in the UK.
The partnership reflects the work of co-founders Kieran Byrne and Sam Knowles, the husband-and-wife duo behind 20tele. Over a decade of trading has taken the pair from telecoms reseller to FreePBX specialists, providing self-managed hosting to businesses throughout the UK.

The launch brings to market a hosted FreePBX platform built for the UK, with transparent pricing and a migration incentive for businesses moving FreePBX from other hosting providers. Every FreePBX UK deployment is provisioned in minutes. The platform offers full root access for complete control, paired with self-service VPS management. Hosting plans start at £15 per month, with all tiers running in a London data centre with a free SysAdmin Pro licence, daily backups, and a 99.99% uptime SLA.
FreePBX UK is a Registered Partner with DigitalOcean, the cloud platform underpinning the FreePBX UK hosting service. All instances run on DigitalOcean’s AMD-powered Droplets in the London (LON1) data centre, providing low-latency connectivity to UK end users.
To welcome migrating customers, FreePBX UK is offering Take 5: five hours’ support free, limited to one per customer and valid for 12 months. The offer is open to UK-based businesses with an active Sangoma Portal registration, migrating a production FreePBX deployment to FreePBX UK.
